ON THE STATUS OF WIND AND WIRE

If you haven't heard, there is a new magazine for electronic music fans. I have subscribed and, having seen the first issue,
I endorse the magazine wholeheartedly and recommend it as an excellent publication for fans of all types of EM!

Bill Binkelman, Editor and Founder of Wind and Wire

E-dition is a new hardcopy magazine published in the Netherlands in both English and Dutch editions. The reviewers include Bert Strolenberg, Paul Rijkens, Wouter Bessels, Andre de Waal, Menno von Brucken Fock, Brad Warner, Brian Bieniowski plus several other people who wrote reviews for KLEM and other magazines.
Every magazine has (at least) one FREE CD with unreleased tracks.

NEWS

In August of the this year (2004), I will be taking a leave of absence from reviewing for a minimum of one year. Wind and Wire will continue on without my reviewing, although I will still be involved as webmaster. The other reviewers will continue to review music in my absence. However, issues will only be posted once every other month, not monthly as has been the case. Until August, it will be business as usual. If you are an artist or a label, please work now on developing relationships with the other reviewers on this site, depending on your genre (there are notes on which reviewer handles which genres on the submissions page).

It is with regret that I announce that Wind and Wire reviewer Michael Woodhead is leaving due to the time constraint of having a second (previous) reviewing position with a magazine. I want to publicly thank him for his efforts on our behalf and wish him the very best.

I am having tentative discussions with several reviewing prospects, but nothing is definite yet.

Please take a moment, if you have one, and drop me a line if you have any comments or concerns about the site.

I hope you enjoy this issue and thanks for your support.

Bill Binkelman,

founder, editor and webmaster
