Is your money burning a hole in your pocket?

May I be so bold as to suggest you consider donating some of it to show your appreciation for what Wind and Wire has provided through the years. Click here for more details and for an explanation as to why in the world you should bother donating to something that is going away soon!

Well, we've almost reached the end of the journey. I feel like Sam at the Grey Havens, not quite home yet, but getting ready for the final farewell. Like Sam, who didn't know if he'd see Merry or Pippin, or especially Frodo, ever again, I'm unsure of what the future holds. Also, like Sam, I am turning my attention to hearth and home, after a fashion, as I set off on this new phase of life.

This is the second to last issue of Wind and Wire - possibly forever, but at the least for quite some time. On or around August 1st, the last upload will occur. As I stated before, the "back issues" will remain online for a minimum of a year, and hopefully longer. Time and money will determine how long (as well as interest, obviously). I have many more reviews to write before then, so be sure you tune in for the last batch in August (including some brand new artists who are gonna make a big splash, IMO). Also, you don't want to miss my final good-byes and thank you's which are bound to be plentiful and sentimental. There are many people to give credit to, and yet, while I'd love to dish the dirt, very little will be written in anger or as "kiss and tell" since I have learned over the last eight years that it's unwise to rouse a sleeping giant!

I also expect to have a few interviews as a bonus feature for the last issue...'nuff said on that as they should be a surprise, right?

As for the whole donation thing, I've said my piece elsewhere in this issue on that regard. If you want to think I'm a wanker, well, bless ya, maybe I am! On the other hand, if you can spare a few coppers for the hat, bless ya twice and me, Kathryn, and Onyx thank ye kindly.

Until the next/last issue, I thank you for your support and drop me a line, even if just to say you're feelin' fine...
