- I apologize for how late
the May issue is in arriving. This was caused by an
unusually heavy amount of computer work at my job (yes, I
have a "real job" in addition to this volunteer effort)
which slowed me down as I developed some nasty wrist pain
due to an abumdance of using a "mouse." I appreciate your
patience. I hope it proves worth the wait.
-
- I am pleased to announce
that Wind and Wire has acquired a new reviewer,
Ben Fleury Steiner, who will be reviewing (in his own
words) "...experimental ambient, including natural
soundscapes (including the German and French
experimentalist school, contemporary sound collage etc)
and darker ambient sounds." If you are a fan of this
subgenre or an artist recording in this field,
drop
Ben a line and
say "Hi."
-
- Just a reminder that I
am personally taking a reviewing sabbatical in September,
so if you are an artist, please get to know the other
reviewers here at Wind and Wire (see the
Submissions
page) since they will be your contact point when I leave
for an extended period.
-
- Enjoy the many reviews
this issue. As always, we invite your comments,
suggestions, rants, etc.
-
- Be safe and do good
work.
